We are proud to say we have partnered with Ashley Spencer (@alspencer) and AssureTech (@assuretechllc) to bring you amazing Food Allergy Awareness Wristbands!
For the month of October, we will have these wristbands (designed by Ashley!) available in our shop. Ashley is a food allergy survivor, along with the founder of AssureTech, Joey DiGangi. These two have teamed up to design and distribute these wristbands to spread Food Allergy Awareness!
”Blue to the sky, orange to the thigh!”
Have you heard this phrase? Do you know the meaning? The BLUE side of an EpiPen (Mylan and Mylan generic, not necessarily other brands, but these are highly recognizable and probably the most common ones of this style) is the SAFETY CAP. The ORANGE side is the one the needle dispenses from. To administer, pop off the BLUE safety cap, hold the ORANGE side to the upper thigh, and press the needle in. Hold for 10 seconds, and you can massage the area after.
The design of these wristbands is two-fold. 1) It’s a great, catchy reminder to help quickly administer this life-saving medication. And 2) The dual color design is a great reminder to always carry two epinephrine auto-injectors (no matter which brand is your preference!)
*** Proceeds from sales of the wristbands will be donated to the Teal Pumpkin Project operated by FARE, via a collective donation from AssureTech towards the end of November. Help spread Food Allergy Awareness by purchasing wristbands for yourself, family & friends, school staff, and anyone else you’d love to educate about food allergies!!
[Trio Fudge will not receive any profits from wristband sales.]
